linux-powerpc64-smp software package provides Complete Linux kernel on PowerPC64 SMP., you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install linux-powerpc64-smp
linux-powerpc64-smp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the linux-powerpc64-smp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep linux-powerpc64-smp *
